I am trying to find the parents of George Whitehouse born 1852 in Liverpool Lancashire. I looked on free BMD but is does not give his mothers maiden name ( 8b/184 June 1852 Liverpool ) I know his father was also George mother unknown I have looked for him on the 1861 census with no luck. I do have all of George born 1852 & Mary Ann (nee Carr) born 1856 details Thank you for any information

This is the birth you mention. Mother's maiden name is Whitehouse so it looks like George was illegitimate:-

Looks like he was born in the workhouse:-

How do you "know" his Father was George
Birth cert. will name Mother
By 1861 he could be living as a step son if Mother married and using that surname

Hi Erica, I did look up the Free Bmd online it had no mothers maiden name, I guessed that ment he was Illegitimate as Kathleen mentioned

I have found a 1871 Census for George lodging at John's Place House Court Toxteth Park aged 18 years a Paper Hanger, with a William Nolen Derden aged 19 & a Edward Derden aged 14 years. No mention of a mother tho
