Hi ErikaH, nameslessone. Doing Dutch genealogy has been a delight, usually such great records.. and I've gone from current day back to the direct ancestors 1747 marriage.. even got a copy of a letter from his mother giving him permission to marry and here's the twist..in that period, 1740's as a young man (born 's-Hertogenbosch, in 17160 he invented his own surname, trialing about 7 different but similar, versions.. this is acknowledged in his mothers letter. |
