Find Ancestors

Just getting back into tracing my ancestors and could do with help and information on Joseph Jones who I think was my 7th great-grandfather.
If I have got me facts right I believe he married Mary Gould probably about 1698 and they appear to have had 3 children...Eleanor, Thomas and Beedle (Beedle is a strange spelling and I am not sure if it is a girl or a boy but I am getting nowhere in searching the name of Beedle).
To the best of my knowledge the family lived in Shropshire although they may have had links with Somerset.

Where did you pick up the name ‘Beedle;?

My confirmed 6th great-grandfather was the couples son Thomas Jones, he was born circa 1700 in Benthall in Shropshire…this was advised to me by a now deceased relative who had done extensive research but had not managed to get details of any earlier ancestors…I have taken his findings as being correct.
I have been doing research on various sites including Ancestry and it was on Ancestry that the name Beedle appeared, not sure if that is the correct spelling also if the spelling is correct I do not know if Beedle is for a boy or a girl

Beedle might well be the maiden name of an earlier ancestor, doesn't help with working out the gender of the child though.

FMP has a John Jones, son of Joseph and Mary, baptised Benthall 23rd Nov 1707.
They also have the baptism of Thomas as 1st July 1700.

Beedle Jones is on eight Ancestry trees (which should never be taken as automatically true, without documentary proof)
Said to be born 1702 in Benthall., and a half brother to Thomas - different unknown mother.
No proof offered, and no other info about him

Six trees say he was Thomas's brother, with same parents. One says he was a half brother, with unknown mother. One says he was a brother, with unknown father..

Please C&P the record you say you found on Ancestry relating to the name Beedle

There's also no info re Eleanor, said to be born 1700 in Benthall.
