Hello all
just wondered on your thoughts until recently i had traced one of my ancestors Peter Woodham to Speledhurst Kent 1560 i now have 2 generations back to Jonis Woddham 1545 and Joan at Enfield Middlesex any idea why they would move to Kent as it seems a long way in those days

Assuming you have linked the correct generations, "work" would be the most likely answer - but impossible to know for sure.

What proof do you have that Peter was the son of Jonis and Joan? Jonis would only have been 15 - though not impossible.
