Just realised -
Reginald was only 19 in 1939, so too young to be on the ER in any case.

As James Stubbs was occupant number one, I would suggest that it indicates that Reginald was living with him rather than vice-versa.

BUT..............the post has been marked as answered, so that's an end to it

It may be that Reginald was living with James Stubbs in 1939, and not that James was living with Reginald, if you see what I mean.

Reginald is not at that address on the 1939 Electoral Roll, but James is:

Are you are working on Reginald being born 1920 from a birth index showing like this below (or do you know that his DOB incorrect on the 1939 register).

6 weeks was allowed in which to register a birth, so from mid November onwards of any particular year, the registration could show in the following year's 1st Quarter ie Jan/Feb/Mar quarter
