I can't see any marriage in England , Scotland or Wales in 1978 for a W Miller to a Mavis.

There’s quite a few Mavis marrying a Miller around the mid 1970,s

No W Miller though

Ahhhh spouse is down as Hiller on ancestry

There's a Mavis Miller living in West Yorkshire on the current ER.
There was a William Miller listed with her at the same address up to 2016.

Search on the Electoral Rolls under "Search" at top right of this page.
You only need to enter Mavis Miller, with "William" as keyword.
It's the second result on the list.
Click on the document symbol at right of the search result to see full address.

Of course I have no idea if that's the right couple or not.
