Yes - realise the relationship, was hoping to find a possible Humphreys link. The 2 birth records confirmed their Mothers maiden name and so the marriage. |

This has just struck a cord with me!!!!! A few years ago her daughter Gwynith told me that when Bessie's mother died in 1911, after giving birth to Wyndham, she died in childbirth, she asked me if I could find out where her mother was sent, and I am sure I found a lady by the surname Humphries where she could have been staying, I have that somewhere in my archives. |

Might be worth looking back for earlier generation marriages to see if the Humphrys/Humphreys/Humphries name comes up anywhere (as with the Wyndham) |

I do know that Bessie and daughter Bronwyn came to the UK for a family reunion, I have the group photo, I found the passenger list in 1951, which would be correct, and now you have said that I see the name of her mother was stated as Bessie H Aston, which I hadn't noticed before. I have no idea where the Humphrys came from. |

Electoral rolls for South Australia show an Alexander Murray Aston with Bessie Humphrys Aston at 22 Porter Street, Parkside in 1939, 1941, but in 1943 there on his own. He's a Salesman. She appears to be recorded at a hostel in Lobethal in 1943 |
