However, that Nicholas in Dumfries in 1841 isn't Nicholas Primrose, as she was in Buckinghamshire in 1841.

So Nicholas with mother Agnes Murray may be the corect one after all.

Sorry - I've been waffling through this to reach that conclusion, just as I found stuff.

As well as William, Robert, Wellwood, and Agnes, whose baptisms are already posted, and Nicholas, whose baptism isn't to be found, John & Agnes (nee Richardson) had these children:

I've had a look at the 1841 census image.

Three different households -

Sarah Scott on her own;
the Andersons;
the Richardsons

John Anderson was a bookseller, son William a grocer, Robert a printer's apprentice.

Nicholas (in Dumfries in 1841) must be the one with mother Agnes Richardson - but her baptism's not showing on SP

However, Wellwood's parents are definite:

So presumably the Nicholas in Dumfries in 1841 is the daughter of Agnes Richardson, and not the one who is the daughter of Agnes Murray.

So Nicholas Primrose is either the Richardson one, in which case her baptism isn't showing on SP, or else she's the Murray one, in which case she's not showing in 1841.

EDIT:
But of course NP is in Buckinghamshhire in 1841, so clearly she's not the one in Dumfries.

The son Robert in 1841 could also be part of either household - need to have a look at the census image:

That's not the same family as in the 1841 census posted by alviegal - unless Nicholas was living with perhaps an uncle.

this is the baptism of the son William in that census - if he's a grandson of Sarah Scott:
