My Relation Wade Wood 1907-1985 was married to Aileen Duckworth 1909-1993.

On the 1939 Register showing 2 officially closed persons that I presume are their children, is there a way I can find who they are??

Think Maybe found Aileen D Wood (B) 1935 She not on 1939 Register because she died after 1991is that correct . I think she married Ronald C McCelland in Manchester 1961.

Cannot find other Child, thought it might have been Leslie Wood but couldn't tie him in !!!

did they live in manchester

there are 2 couples with the name wood and duckworth marriage both in manchester you would have to look on the gro site for births

i can see 2 children born in manchester

I assume you know if Aileen D was definitely their child? Registered in Bucklow in 1935.
If so, there was also another probable daughter registered in Bucklow, in 1937.

The family were living in Sale in 1939, and Sale is in Bucklow reg district.

Therefore, I think it's safe to assume that the two closed records in 1939 are the two daughters.

It does look as if Aileed D did marry Ronald Mcclelland in 1961.

In 2004 they were living in Cheshire, per Electoral Roll.

I don't see any record of Aileen's death on GRO, so it appears she is still alive, and therefore her 1939 record is still closed..

The info you gave iI can confirm Wade was a Master Butcher I have his marriage cert,

Aileen D her birth gave her mothers maiden name as Duckworth so must be correct,

will try and look up other possible daughter 1937 ???

You'll find the other daughter's birth on FreeBMD. (I'm only concentrating on the twoo closed records in 1939).

Malyon suggested two male births in Manchester - but I'm sure the Bucklow children are the correct ones.

The other daughter may have married in Bucklow reg district in 1963.

If so, the couple were living in Oxfordshire in 2002.
The property does not appear to have been sold since then, per Zoopla,
They may perhaps still be there, and just have opted out of the public ER..

I don't see any sign of her death either, on GRO site.

Think may have found other daughter Janet b1937 and possible m in 1963 to elmes

off to my bed now so will continue later today.

There is also another possible daughter, Helen W. born in Bucklow in 1945.

There is a marriage in Bucklow for a Helen W. Wood in 1970 to Melville Dunbar.

The 1945 daughter married in Bucklow RD in 1970, and had two sons registered in Chelmsford - see on FreeBMD.

She was at an Essex address in 2018 ER (though that may be a business address).
