Thanks Maddie, I have all the details of the children.

Looking back at the pedigree and Thomas’s will, I’m thinking the John Appleyard and son Thomas are his brother and nephew.

But obviously this is not proven.

I'm looking at Lincolnshire Pedigree, not sure how accurate they are.

Thomas Appleyard born 1621 Ulceby married Mary Boyton, so can definitely rule him out.

Then there is Thomas Appleyard born 1603 father William, but no details of marriage there?

Help!

1. Thomas1 APPLEYARD * , died Aug 1665, buried 28 Aug 1665 in Old Clee. He married on 1 Feb 1654 in Old Clee Sarah WARD .

Notes for Thomas APPLEYARD *
1665 : Thomas Appleyard, Gent was buried the eight and twentieth day of August. The death year is clear in the burial record. The date of the will is not clear, it is indexed in 1667.
Other Children from his Will.. not yet added.
Will of Thomas Appleyard, gentleman, Hoole, Parish of Clee. Will 1667/ii/830 :
1st April
To Thomas Appleyard my son, £10 within 2 years of my decease
To [John Appleyard my son], crossed out in the will
Eliza Cook my eldest daughter, £10 within 5 years
To John Appleyard my son, £10 within 2 years
To Benstivanto(?) Appleyard my son. £5 within 2 years
To William Appleyard my son, £20 within 2 years
To Margaret Appleyard my daughter, £30 when 21 or on marriage
To Anne Appleyard my daughter, £30 when 21 or on marriage
To [James] Appleyard my son, £20 when 21
To Sarah Appleyard my now wife, £30 within 2 years
If children die, divided between Sarah my wife and William Bradshaw? of Grimsby, who I appoint executor.
I appoint John Appleyard of Ulrothby (Ulceby?) in the County of Lincoln, or Thomas Appleyard, gentleman, son to the said John Appleyard, (as guardians to the children?)

I’ve just been sent this

The Harris tree on Ancestry (tree owner JaneRHarris1), which is the one I quoted on your other thread, does claim that Thomas's Will was dated 1667.

Or at least, it says,
"Will
1667
Thomas Appleyard Hoole- Gentleman".

But it doesn't say where that information comes from - no proof.
Perhaps that's for a man named Thomas Hoole, with the middle name Appleyard - it's impossible to tell anything from that.

Hi ErikaH

It is sort of. I need to establish this Thomas to confirm wether he is definitely connected to the others on previous post.

There is a will for Thomas, says 1667, is that right ?

I’ve never got this far back before, so not sure what I can say is proof.

The burial and marriage for Thomas are definitely correct.

Is this connected to your other Appleyard post?

Thomas Appleyard buried at Old Clee 28th August 1665.

Married Sarah Ward at Old Clee 1st February 1654.

Definite child James Appleyard 1663 - 1723 Cleethorpes married Ann Oates 1691 St Giles Scartho.

My problem is finding any birth details for Thomas. On ancestry some people have 1603 others 1621. Also some have is death 1690.

He may have come from Ulceby but I can't find anything to support this, other than here say.

Any help is much appreciated.
