Contact the CWGC directly and give them all his details. They will then decide if he is put on a memorial. I have dealt with them over the very same issue in the past and found them very helpful |

If the parish church at that time still exists today, they may have a plaque commemorating those from the parish who lost their lives during the war. |

I don’t think names were automatically put on local memorials. I think the names were put forward by friends and relatives. Which is why some names are found with no obvious connection to the place. |

He is in Plot 17, Row C. at Hooge Crater Cemetery, so will have a Commonwealth War Graves headstone there. There are photos of the cemetery here:- |
