born 9/1/1896 Clerkenwell Middlesex. Parents William George Smith and Elizabeth Mahoney

He married Vera Hope Ingamells 26/12/1931

I have followed them to 1965 living 50 Compton Flats and show both names.

I think Vera died 8/12/ 1968 in Longrove Hospital Epsom.

ErikaH Yes I did search myself on Ancestry and followed the couple to 1965 as I said earlier but I couldnt find them after that to be certain. I dont think freebmd would have been helpful.

Thank you Maddie . Smith isnt the easiest name to follow. Frederick was my father in laws brother hope this is the one I am looking for. x

ErikaH I do look on bmd but I couldnt see how it would have helped me find a death when I didnt know where the person was living. Maybe you know a way that I dont
as things can change quite a lot over the years.

I used to be a volunteer typing up the transcripts for bmd. Looking at all the later deaths on bmd, I think it is a great idea that the date of birth is shown but sadly
theyve squeezed the details in when there is lots of space
