Albert James Meads 1891. Trying to find his possible second marriage. Born in Medmenham, Buckinghamshire, to George Meads and his second wife Eliza.
I have his first marriage to May (Mary) Dance on 28/11/1918, after the birth I guess, of his daughter Ethel a few months earlier. May died the next year!
The Dance family seem to be in the same place as Albert's parents in Penyston Road, Maidenhead in the 1911 census. Meads at 77 and Dance at "Elsdon". Are they the same place?
I photographed No 77 in 2013, a small end terrace house!
At the time of marriage in 1918, Albert was with his brother Edwin in Uxbridge, but May (Mary) was with widow Eliza (George died 1913) at No 77 Penyston Road.
I have his military service details, but there seems to be more than one second marriage, as he seems to have not died until 1963 in Eton, Bucks.
One is Kathleen Mabel Hollands in her home county of Sussex in 1928, although cannot find much detail of her life, or any further children.
The 1939 register shows an Albert Meads with Elizabeth and son Henry T in Hornsby, Middlesex.

So.....can anyone find details of Alberts later life please?

The Henry T Mead on the 1939 register isn’t a son as he was born in1906 and in a bus conductor single living with Albert and Elizabeth

I would suggest - fairly confidently - that this is the birth of the man who married in 1928

Kathleen's surname is given as Hills, underlined, with a date of change given as 3/11/48, which matches the marriage - though why she should be listed only as Hills, and not as Meads in 1939, I don't know.

'Elizabeth' died too soon for her maiden name to be on her death cert, so she will probably have to remain a mystery

Elizabeth and Albert James were also together in 1928 and 1929, at 12 Sirdar Road.

No sign of Elizabeth as Meads before that, though more than one possibility for Albert James on his own.

Perhaps I should look for a DNA match for someone who may have more information about this particular ancestor.
