He could simply have made a Will which didn’t need proving. One assumes he wasn’t a property owner. |

You can look in newspapers to see if his death is in there, and if there is a later will stated. But if he was living with his daughter-in-law he may have few possessions to leave to anyone. |

Leaving a Will which does not have to be proved is not the same as Intestate |
