You should have only one thread per topic/family, , to save people doing the research twice and unnecessarily.

But please note - the answers on your two threads aren't completely identical, so don't delete either of them now ,or you'll lose info.

For example, I said on the other thread that I believe that William's birthplace being given as Southwark in 1901 is because the enumerator mis-heard him saying "Suffolk" and thought he said "Southwark".

do you have any evidence that his Father was Robert (as per your OP)

Whilst the 1911 census says that William Todd came from Bungay in Suffolk, the 1901 census has him as born Southwark, London.

A copy of his marriage certificate would give - if he knew him - his Father's name and occupation.

have you any dates when they ere born

I am trying to trace my family with the name Todd. Unfortunately my father lost contact with his father following his parents divorce. I know my grandfather was Lawrence Tom George Todd and he had two brothers Hugh Ernest and William Frederick Todd. I believe my great grandfather was William Todd and my great great grandfather was Robert Todd and they came from Suffolk. Any information would be appreciated.
