Either you're still confused - or I am!

Ann/Annie aged 6 in 1871 is Frances Annie, who appears to have married Matthew Wray.

It seems to be Hannah/Anna, born 1871, (aged 2 months in 1871 census) who apparently married Harry Osguthorpe and lied about her age.

Regarding the 1911 use of Oliver, we think it was his 'professional' photographer name; his father added St Swithin to HIS name for same reason in Scarborough.

So -
it's looking as if Frances Annie married Matthew Wray, and Hannah/Anna married Henry Osguthorpe.

That sounds like the answer as to why Annie/Hannah was convinced her birth was around 1871/2. I thought it was strange.


Did Hannah/Annie have a son Charles Reed no mums maiden name A/M/J 1896 V9d P420 He is with grandparents in 1901 Charles and Mary Reed.

However, if Anita is sure that Charles Reed and Mary Clarkson are the correct parents for her Annie Osguthorpe - there's no sign of any such child being born to them c1872.

Unless it's Hannah/Anna who married Henry Osguthorpe, calling herself Annie ???
Annie's DOB stated in 1939 would fit Hannah's birth, although a year out.
