This couple had two children baptised in Eynsford, Kent, in 1803 William and in 1805 Mary Ann. On the day of Mary Ann's baptism another couple Richard Rivers and Sarah Rivers had their son Thomas baptised. There were the only two baptisms on that day. In 1807 in Shoreham, Kent, about three miles from Eynsford, Hannah Boakes had her daughter Sophia baptised, no father was named. James didn't have a sister named Hannah. |

Hi Shirley - its just the marriage of James and Hannah that I am stuck on. However when Richard Rivers married Sarah Wood in Deptford, 1801, they claimed to be widower and widow. There is also no trace of a previous marriage for Richard so probably lots of the Kent records are not yet transcibed or are lost. James Boakes seems to have re-married in about 1813. |
