Have been looking at the marriage certificate of William Richard and Edna Winifred again states father Albert Read deceased
In the presence of....is it a coincidence that it names William Clark, Florence Clark, Minnie Clark, George Lane
It may link with what Mary found? parents changing names?
on the 1891 census that was found for George Read it lists Arthur Lane nephew age 21
William and Minnie .....
I think Florence would have been 28 so it is possible she was there

As William Richard's marriage cert states that Albert is deceased, and William Clark is a witness, that seems to show that Albert and William are not the same person.

William is apparently just Minnie's new partner, and she's taken his name, though they don't seem to have married.

have already had a great deal of support from ArgyllGran and Mary ...
still looking for the death of Albert Read born 17.6.1872 Greenwich London.
Have found an entry for Sheffield Street Receiving Workhouse and Casual Wards which lists an Albert Read admitted on 30.7.1912, died 15.8.1912. there is no further information and was wondering if his date of birth/kin would have been kept? have checked various sites for death registration but can`t find one. Did they have to produce a death certificate in the workhouses?
