The head is Michael McKenzie. The transcription says Library Row but it seems so unlikely that I thought I'd seek a second opinion. It doesn't appear as such on any maps of the time and the village was extremely small and certainly no library anywhere near! |

I'm trying to decipher the name of a street on a census so I wonder if someone could please take a peek for me. Someone said it could be Library Row but I don't think this is likely because this is 1881 and I know there certainly wasn't a library there. I've tried looking at pages either side in case the enumerator changed and the writing was different but no such luck! The house number looks as if it's joined to the word but it's a number 1. |
