I have found some info on another site, which states my husband's great grandfather was born in Malta. I've tried searches but with no success. Does anyone have any tips? I have no idea if he is of Maltese descent of born of a British family overseas ( possibly naval) This is the info: John (Joseph) Edward Doust
John was born on March 21 1893, in Valletta Malta.
I have found a John Edward Doust serving in WW1 Leading Mechanic, enlisted 1914 F974
In 1924 he married Gladys Florence Hockey in Portsmouth Hampshire UK. Records show they had four sons. He died in the Portsmouth area in 1947. Thanks for your help
