Husband of Anna, nee Helberg, born 02/01/1894 in Kukczyn.

Parents: Moser, Friedrich, born 14/02/1860 and his wife Henriette nee Lobstedt, both deceased.
Age 77 years, 10 months.
Liver cancer.

Dated: Nebelin, 4 April 1981.

Handwriting is hard to read, which doesn't help translation.

Parish of [can't read], Chelm.
Wedding Certificate
Signifies that according to the record book of 1920, Record No 56, Fryderyk Mozer, widower, aged 29, of the parish of [can't read the name], son of Fryderyka and Henryki [something]
Mozer spouses, married Anna Helberg , spinster, aged 24 , of the parish of [ ? ] daughter of [Jotlibia ?] and [ Luiez ?] [something], Helberg spouses.
on the 11th of [?] 1920.

Interesting that both the birth and marriage certs are dated 13 Aug. 1940.
Something to do with the war ??

On another Ancestry tree (charmoser1), there's this scan of a translation of the birth cert, from Polish into German:

My translation to English:

"Authorised translation from Polish.
Birth Certificate.
This is to certify that according to the birth register for the year 1890, document no. 460, Fryderyk (Friedrich) Moser, son of farmer Fryderyk (Friedrich) and Henriette nee Lobstadt, the Moser spouses, in Kulkzyn - Majdan, on 17 July in the year eighteen hundred and ninety 1890, was born, and on 27/7/ 1890 was baptised.

[Signed in Chelm, 13 August 1940, by a judge, whose signature was illegible to the Polish/German translator.]

[ Then there was the] official seal of the Clerk of the District (Regional ?) Court in Chelm.

Translation from the Polish language is provided by me on the basis of the original of the birth certificate.
[Signed] Ingrid Friedrichsen
Bremen
11 November 1981."


So it looks like Ingrid Friedrichsen was translating a 1940 copy of the 1890 birth cert.
Unless somehow the birth wasn't registered until 1940?

I agree with Erika - there won't be all that much on them.

I don't speak either German or Polish, but it you care to PM me the scans, I'd be happy to see what intelligent deductions I night be able to make.

Going by your tree on Ancestry (assuming you are "cartershome" ?) , you already know most of what will be on the death cert:

As these are only BMD certs, there isn't likely to be much on them apart from names - with the exception of the death cert, which will show cause of death

Perhaps there's some Polish and/or German association in your local area which could help?

Or put an ad in your local newspaper - though you might get replies from professional translators who would expect to be paid.

I meant a normal German - English dictionary, where you look up the word and find the translation.

Or - contact your local school and ask if one of the pupils who is studying German would give it a ‘go’

Im not sure if this is the right thread to put this post but i am sure someone will direct me in the right direction if not.

I have some documents that have been scanned to me me regarding

Friedrich (Friederzk) Moser
1890–1968
BIRTH 17 JUL 1890 • Kulczyn, Lubelskie, Poland died 1968 in Germany

and wondered if there is anyone on here that could transcribe them.
there is a birth cert a marriage cert and a death cert
