Dennis and Bertha lived in Chertsey, Surrey in 1939 with their son David A Williams who was born 1.6.38. It is believed they had two more children born in 1943 and 1949 respectively.

Is there anyone who has any of these people on their trees?

The child was born JFM1940

No record of him as Ager, other than his birth, so it must be a pretty reasonable assumption that he became known as Williams

Hello again everyone. You are all being so helpful ...I think you must all be experts at this new hobby of mine! ! I'm still trying to see how I print all your messages out..Will get there in the end!! (I did start trying to research my family tree thirteen years ago when I retired but then everything went on hold as I cared for my mother.)

And like someone said I will have to tread carefully in my search for William F Ager (born 1940 Staines; reg.date 01/1940; reg quarter jan/feb/March.

If William is still alive he will be 80 (I'm 73!!!)

P.S. Perry's middle name was Frederick so presume that William's middle name is the same. Also be was probably named William after his two grandfathers.

It took me for ever trying to find Percy on Ancestry. I had found him on a census along with my maternal grandmother(Fanniy) and two other sisters (Rose and Daisy ) and i knew when he was older that he had moved to London with Marjorie (Marj). Then my mother just dropped into the conversation last year that Percy liked to be called Fred!!! So with this snippet of information I managed to find him and knew it was him because the address tallied with the address I have on a letter he wrote to my grandmother in 1948.

I also found Marjorie on Ancestry on the 1911 census aged eight months. But at that time she only had one brother Dennis.

Dennis married Bertha Purssey. And only the otherr night I realised that Berths Purssey had been a witness at Percy and Marjorie's wedding! (Paid a fortune thirteen years ago to get a copy!!)

Now I've just had a lightbulb moment!!! Perhaps Marjorie had a sister born after her!!! As it would seem that Dennis and Berths didn't have William perhaps he went to another sibling?????

Back to the drawing board! !
