Hello could any one please help .i am looking for information on jessie breeze born 1852.she was my great grandfathers sister .i have reason to believe that she died aged 47 .in st nickolas church yard in yarmouth .in 1903 .i dont have access to news paper records any help on this lady is much appreciated thank you

Thank you ericka .i was told by family that she had been found dead in church yard but didnt know if it was natural causes or murder .and i havent acsessto news papers

WOMAN'S DEATH IN THE CHURCHYARD
On Saturday afternoon a man named William Read of Row 123, who was searching the walls around St Nicholas' Churchyard for snails for birds, made a singular discovery in a shed, now disused, standing in the north-east corner.
He there saw a woman lying on the ground on her back, her head resting on a stone, and her hat beside her.
She was quite dead, and he apprised Police Constable Read and Sergeant Herring.
Life could not have been extinct long, for rigor mortis had not set in.
There were no signs of any struggle, and from the peaceful expression on the woman's face, she had apparently died suddenly and painlessly. The body was conveyed to the Mortuary to await an inquest.
Mr Mann, the sexton, says he has often seen the dead woman in the churchyard, and she was in the habit of going there to rest.
Some of the officers of the police force have identified her as Jessie Breeze, who was a well-known local character.
It is stated that she has no relatives residing in Yarmouth.
The only article found, when deceased's clothing was searched, was an old comb.

Poor woman seems to have been known to the police and had a pretty tough life.

Police-constable Chase said that on Wednesday afternoon he saw prisoner very drunk on the west side of the river. She fell down near Clarke's Mill. She was unable to get up, and he took her to the station. PRISONER- I was more tired than drunk. I had been walking about all day. She was fined 5s and costs or 7 days.

Of course, as we keep saying, the age stated on a death cert is only as accurate as the informant's knowledge , and in this case, with no family nearby, 47 may have been a guess by the police.
