Of course you're right, mgnv.
I really meant records other than those for the Titanic. I should have worded it better.

AG is not quite right abt travel records between the UK and Europe, and within the UK. The Titanic passengers leaving Southampton are listed, like they are for most transatlantic voyages, but this includes passengers who debarked at Cherburg and the half dozen or so who debarked at Queenstown.

I would expect James signed on to some other ship and got off in Ireland, possibly om the way back from Africa or wherever.

Hi ErikaH, this was James father who was married to Sarah in the thread. I am still hitting a brick wall with the Armstrong ancestors. Thank you for your help

He may have signed on to some other ship in order to get home.
But you'll never know, as there are no online records of travel between different parts of the UK or Ireland.

I was hoping that maybe if had crew list on tree herbert then maybe see details of James armstrong before he went on titanic in 1912. James died 20.4.1922 in Belfast aged 40 years old unsure how so young but the riots were happening round that time too. Thank you for your help I will look to see if I can maybe view a picture of ship. I'm confused how he got back to Belfast from Southampton unless he went via Wales to Dublin crossing the sea so thought there be some paasenger lists. Kind regards Sharonrose

But I don't see anything helpful re "Treherbert"

On Ancestry there are three records for a ship named Treherbert, of the Morel Ltd Line, Cardiff - seems to be the same ship as above.

In 1933 there was this" stowaway to be repatriated to Uruguay":

Jose Baros
in the UK and Ireland, Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960
Name: Jose Baros
Arrival Age: 26
Birth Date: abt 1907
Port of Departure: Montevideo, Uruguay
Arrival Date: 6 Feb 1933
Port of Arrival: Liverpool, England
Ports of Voyage: Montevideo
Ship Name: Treherbert
Shipping Line: Morel Line
Official Number: 148554

There's a record from 1929, of just one seaman with a code DBS and name scored out:

F Augustine
in the UK and Ireland, Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960
Name: F Augustine
Arrival Age: 56
Birth Date: abt 1873
Port of Departure: Mauritius
Arrival Date: 27 Oct 1929
Port of Arrival: Liverpool, England
Ship Name: Treherbert
Shipping Line: Morel and Stuart Line
Official Number: 148554

1939 - record of another single seaman:

Donald Andres Forrester
in the UK and Ireland, Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960
Name: Donald Andres Forrester
Arrival Age: 19
Birth Date: abt 1920
Port of Departure: St Vincent
Arrival Date: 29 Aug 1939
Port of Arrival: Liverpool, England
Ports of Voyage: St Vincent
Ship Name: Treherbert
Shipping Line: Mobile Oceanic Line
Official Number: 148554

Can't find any full crew list anywhere, and no sign of James Armstrong.

The simple answer to the first part of your query is that there are no travel records for journeys to or from Ireland

Looking for advice on how I find passenger traveling from Southampton to Belfast. Background is my grandad had been on the crew list to deliver titanic to Southampton for her maiden voyage but on the day she left Southamptonn he had slept in and missed the ship so I am trying to find how he got back home to Belfast again from 10.4.1912. Please can someone help with my query. His name James Armstrong 42 Weir Street Belfast it states on titanic crew list his last ship before titanic was Treherbet which I would also like to find any information on this as I've search pass 2 years and nothing. He was in Belfast for the signing of the September 1912 covant signing. Kind regards Sharonrose
