I always get myself in a pickle trying to get an address in the census So can some one get me a name of some one who is living in Berry St Manchester in 1861 Please the family I'm looking for I can't find them in 51 or 61 so I'm thinking if some one can get me a name of some living in that street I could go through them all and may be the roads near Berry Street could have been changed to Stone St or the other way round
Thank you

Who are you looking for?
Full names, birth years and birthplaces. Also, when exactly were they living at the address you suggest?
Don't forget that a lot of Manchester1851 is not available

I don't understand that first sentence, Sylann.
[ EDIT: sorry, I think I got confused myself! ]
If the 1851 already posted is the right family, then yes, the parents of Thomas 1833 are Thomas Turner and Ann Hogin. (Or maybe Ann is his stepmother, as she didn't marry the father Thomas until 1838.)
Then Thomas 1833 married Sarah Hallam in 1855.
Here's your family in 1871, for our reference:
Sarah Ann Turner in the 1871 England Census Name: Sarah Ann Turner Age: 18 Estimated birth year: 1853 Relation: Daughter Gender: Female Where born: Manchester Civil Parish: Manchester Ecclesiastical parish: St Andrew County/Island: Lancashire Country: England Registration district: Manchester Sub-registration district: London Road ED, institution, or vessel: 15 Household schedule number: 158 Piece: 4042 Folio: 105 Page Number: 26 Household Members: Name Age Thomas Turner 38 Sarah Turner 36 Sarah Ann Turner 18 Mary Jane Turner 16 Thomas Turner 12 Joseph Turner 11 William Turner 8
Address: 6 Nuns (?) Square
Presumably this is the one safc posted a link to, though I can't be bothered signing into FS to find out!

A tree on Ancestry says this is Sarah Hallam's family (mms Cameron):
Benjamin Hallam in the 1861 England Census Name: Benjamin Hallam Age: 52 Estimated birth year: 1809 Relation: Head Spouse's name: Ann Hallam Gender: Male Where born: Ireland Civil Parish: Manchester Ecclesiastical parish: St Andrew Town: Manchester County/Island: Lancashire Country: England Street address: Occupation: Condition as to marriage: View image Registration district: Manchester Sub-registration district: London Road ED, institution, or vessel: 14 Neighbors: Household schedule number: 246 Piece: 2946 Folio: 145 Page Number: 43 Household Members: Name Age Benjamin Hallam 52 Ann Hallam 52 Margret Hallam 15 John Thos Hallam 3 Benjamin Hallam 22
HALLAM, BENJAMIN mms CUMERALL GRO Reference: 1839 J Quarter in CHORLTON Volume 20 Page 234
HALLAM, MARGARET ms CAMERON GRO Reference: 1847 M Quarter in CHORLTON Volume 20 Page 224
John Thomas is listed as son, but I think it should be grandson:
HALLAM, JOHN THOMAS - GRO Reference: 1858 J Quarter in MANCHESTER Volume 08D Page 207
This looks like Sarah in 1851 - though it definitely says Hattom on the image:
Sarah Hattom in the 1851 England Census Name: Sarah Hattom Age: 18 Estimated birth year: abt 1833 Relation: Daughter Father's name: Benjm Hattom Mother's name: Ann Hattom Gender: Female Where born: Manchester, Lancashire, England Civil Parish: Manchester Ecclesiastical parish: St Andrews Phillimore Ecclesiastical Parish Maps: View related Ecclesiastical Parish Town: Manchester County/Island: Lancashire Country: England Street address: Occupation: Condition as to marriage: Disability: View image Registration district: Manchester Sub-registration district: London Road ED, institution, or vessel: 1ff Neighbors: Household schedule number: 153 Piece: 2228 Folio: 144 Page Number: 38 Household Members: Name Age Benjm Hattom 43 - Ireland Ann Hattom 42 Sarah Hattom 18 Elizath Hattom 16 Benjm Hattom 11 Martha Hattom 9 Margt Hattom 4
Address: 2 Lomas Street (same area of Manchester as Berry Street.)
Incidentally, both Berry Street and Store Street are listed in 1851, so not the same street - but close to each other. Maybe different parts of one street. In 1851, at 7 Store Street is John Scragg and family.

Thank you for that Sorry for the delay I'll have to have a good look at what I've got and been given. Now I know Ann was a widow in 1871 and I've got the Cameron name to go at/ It's just so annoying when people go missing
Thanks again
