The headstone for the man who died in 1912 is on Ancestry and he is 100% the man who married Anne Sandwell.

Absolutely NO DOUBT

henry and charlotte had several children eg

for what is worth all of the ancestry hints for the 1912 death all point to the ann marriage

If the man who died in 1912 is the PROVEN connection of the OP's colleague, the one with father William is totally irrelevant as far as can be deduced from available online records

So he is NOT the man who married Charlotte Walker, unless he lied, which I don't think was the case, in view of the different names.

As yet, the poster hasn't told us why her colleague thinks the man was born in Nayland...................

Not the 20 May 1838 baptism, unfortunately.

Why does your colleague think this is the man who married Charlotte Walker? There is absolutely nothing I can find to support the theory

EDIT: Not the 1839 birth - that Henry is in all the censuses up to his death in Sudbury in 1932. Parents Charles and Sarah.

So, he married Charlotte in 1867 - not 1912 as per OP

And no mention of Charles in his name on that record

Did Charlotte die between 1867 and 1872?

Can't help thinking these are two entirely different men
