Kathleen Bell, you were right. He was in hospital. Tooting Bec Mental Hospital. The Wandsworth date is correct. Thank you everyone. Probably one of my unhappier finds. :-( |

I have been in contact with my first cousin once removed who cannot pinpoint a date for his demise. She does know that he had dementia and she visited him in Tooting Bec mental asylum circa 1964 which she found most distressing. I imagine he died in there, his wife had predeceased him. My father doesn't seem have much of a memory of this. Does this help ? |

My Great Grandfather born 1879, Crookham in Hampshire, died circa 1960 in North London (Tottenham, Islington area ?) I don't seem to have recorded a date for his passing and I'm unable to find such. He was married to Louisa Alice Stephens(1905) and had 2 daughters Gladys and Doris. Can anyone help please ? |
