If Rose Anne's marr was an RC marr that a registrar attended, try to get the image of the church's register (or a full transcription) as it may well contain info that's not on the official m.cert. Since the names will be latinized, note that James will appear as Jacob and William (and Gwilliam) as Guilame (with the appropriate case ending - Anglo-Saxon had case endings, but they've almost vanished from modern English - e.g., only the possessive form of William has an English case ending, viz William's). |
