Hi, I've hit a dead end going backwards in time and also filling out the siblings for John Spencer (born 1642 - died 1724) who married Sarah Woodcock (born 1646) marriage 21 March 1662 in Newton Regis, North Warwickshire with children including:

Elizabeth Spencer - born 1663
Dorothy Spencer 1666 - 1702
Christopher Spencer 1667 - 1715
John Spencer born 1669

I'm looking for the parents going back crucially and also the siblings on the Spencer side (and any immediate family on the Woodcock side). Ultimately, being as the aristrocratic Spencer's started off in Warwickshire (possibly the borders across to Northamptonshire may have somewhat altered), i'm trying to find the link given that they are persistantly so close and within anything from 30 - 50 miles of what I would imagine to then be very rural England.

I've been through Coventry, Rugby, Polesworth around the tip of Stafordshire, back to Warwickshire (quite a few crossover links) etc. I can imagine that it's going to get hard at 1600's but I reckon the link is going to be somewhere around 1530.

If anyone finds anything, i'd be very grateful.

Thanks :-)
