Find Ancestors

Despite just having paid £55 to ancestry I still can’t view an electoral register entry. I also can’t find the same entry on find my past.

Would someone be able to look up the Glamorgan electoral roll for 1929 for Louise Grunnell please?

The full description is Swansea and surrounding areas Wales electoral registers 1839-1966

Failing that could anyone tell me how I might be able to access the register on a pay per view basis?

Tuilleries is the name of the house.

But the street is Lydford Avenue on the image - not Llewellyn Row.

By 1945 she's still there, with Percival R Atkins and Grace G Grunnell.

The house is now listed as 69 Lydford Avenue, but it's the same house.
(In 1929-30 it was next to Plot 70.)

Oh, thank you yet again! Yes that is the one. I’m trying to find out what happened to the pesky Louisa/Louise after she was in Hull in 1924 and then shows up in Swansea in 1936. That was the first time I’d found anything pre 1936 so thanks for that <3

Interestingly on streetview 69 Lydford Avenue no longer exists.

By 1966 the three of them are at 215 Port Tennant Road.

A tree on Ancestry has this.
The wife of Percy Richard Atkins died 1926 shortly after louise went to live with him as housekeeper with her daughter Grace who had eye sight problems and was home schooled.

Prior to this louise was a manageress at The Mermaid hotel in Mumbles Swansea this was burnt down and demolished in 1996.

Thanks all. I’ve found no evidence that she was at the Mermaid Hotel at all but it seems a bit of a specific to be mentioned in the family. I just can’t find any hint of her anywhere between 1925 when she’s on the electoral register with her husband in Hull and then being in Swansea in 1929.
Percy Atkins was a baker and they were both Christadelphians. They’re both buried in the associated independent graveyard.

Hi alviegal, yes it’s the same person ?? She seems to have changed her name on a whim. I have no idea where the Olga came from on her death certificate. She’s been difficult to trace at times due to the habit of deciding what she’s called that day.
