I was looking at the marriage to James preece and got confused that he was supposed to be Thomas
Soooo it would seem she married Thomas seale as Catherine not Caroline
If that cert says her father was John Bebb then it must be her
Sorry for the confusion I got lost too :-(
|
Out of interest why do you conclude this? - So Caroline Bebb is not Catherine Bebb
Looking at this Mary Fanny Morris 27 is Mary Fanney Seall 7.
England, Select Marriages, 1538–1973 View Record Name Mary Fanny Seale Gender Female Age 20 Birth Date 09 Aug 1892 Marriage Place Standish, Lancashire, England Father Thomas Seale Spouse John Morris
So this would appear to be Catherine and Thomas's child (Mary Fanny Seale) living with Caroline and Samuel. Which would point me to thinking they are the same person?

Hi all, Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have an ancestor Thomas Seale who would appear to have been married 3 times. (Born abt 1826 died 1873 Weobley)
First Wife - Mary Underwood Died 1853 Weobley married 1849.
Second Wife (my direct line) Ann Palmer Born 1832 Died 1870 Weobley married 1858.
Third Wife - Catherine Bebb Born 1839. I have a marriage certificate for her and Thomas in 1871 where her name is Catherine Preece. I have then found 2 other marriages for her I think. One to a James Preece in 1865 and one to Samuel Carpenter in 1874. My conundrum is that on both of these marriages she would appear to be called Caroline (Bebb). I cannot find records for a Catherine. I think they are the same person but I just worry that in these small villages multiple branches of the same family have the same name and its odd that she would use a different name for only one of the marriages. What are your thoughts on this?
Also Thomas lists a father on the marriage certificates for his first and third marriage but does not on the one to Ann Palmer which is also a strange anomaly that makes me question if it is the same person. Any ideas?
Thanks you for you help/advice/ideas/thoughts.
