I am unable to ask her as she is deceased. I have used freebmd and it listed her mothers maiden name as Brazier. I was told last night that she married Charles Lawrence McDonald in 1970 which I found on freebmd. again Charles is deceased.
As a pensioner I have little spare money to buy certificates.

Are you unable to ask Megan herself? Unless you know otherwise, she may have been born at the end of 1945 with her birth registered the following year.
