Good evening I am having difficulty finding the parents of James Nuttall born 1833 Newchurch, rossendale, lancs. James (1833) married Ellen Anderton and had children including Arthur Nuttall (my gt gt grandfather). The problem I have is that there are so many James Nuttalls around that area and I believe his father may have been James Nuttall too. Has anyone got any advise or tips, thank you :-)

I have checked the above and doesn't seem to fit in with James marrying Ellen Anderton. This line of nuttall is where James marries Alice, which I know is not correct. :-S :-S :-S

Ladies, thank you so much for your time and kindness. Rose- the family you suggest is a possible, but I don’t think they would have been in the haslingden area as much of the family came from stacksteads in new church, but I will double check if it fits into my tree. Dea- I think this is a massive possibility with the location as st. Nicholas church in new church seems to be the main church for us nuttall’s! From times gone by! I again will see if this line fits. I can’t tell you how much appreciate your help xx
