All this has been found Bev, I will message you and go through it if you want? Having worked back from the two boys you knew about already I am 99% sure that the info on the first thread re Phoebe is correct.

You have already been told that the birth cert is the WRONG person.

Please take notice of what the helpers are telling you - they spent a lot of time and effort on your behalf

It really isn't logical to think that your grandfather was born in 1857

I have my grandfather birth certificate that states his name was Edwin George Standen (b 1857) and his wife Phoebe Standen (nee Pedley) (b 1857). as yet I have not been able to trace either my great granfather Frances or the date of my great grand mother Phoebe.

Any help would be gratefully accepted
