Damian Report 17 May 2019 10:26

I know that my great grandfathers older brother Frederick Sharman/Sherman died in St Audry's hospital Melton Suffolk on 21st June 1942, formerly of Framsden Suffolk.
I know he was not buried at Framsden where he was born also at Creeting St Mary where he lived before going to St Audry's as i have checked both burial records.
I believe he may be buried in a unmarked grave on the St Audry's site as some were discovered in 2011 when some work was carried out. I do not know where to go from here so any information anyone can give me would be most welcome. I would really like to know if i am correct with my theory as i believe he may have been abandoned by his family. Any information on his time at St Audry's would be most welcome. Thank you.

St Audrey’s Hospital Records are held at Suffolk Archives, Ipswich branch

(As there’s a 100 year closure, you’d probably have to provide a copy of his DC to have any chance of access. )

I have had several success by contacting the parks and cemeteries dept for the area of death giving the details from the death cert

Local councils hold excellent records including cremation details and local church records
