Of course, Nancy is a common diminutive of ANN, whcih may well be her given name

The 1926 birth was in Edinburgh.

That looks like a good possibility, AQ.


There were 4 Ronald Mitchells born in Glasgow 1946 - 1956 .
Hilllhead 1946, Govan 1946, Springburn 1947, and Shettleston 1950.

But no way of knowing if any of them is the son you mention, Ian, without buying the certs.

I don't know if it's relevant or not -
