Wonder if anyone can help.

My dad was adopted, but I know his biological mother was a Mary Ann Pickering, born Durham 1902, parents Thomas Pickering and Susannah Thompson.

Dad was born in hackneyed in a mother and baby home. On her admission papers Mary names his father as Frank Glass. She says Frank has gone to India.. Another person named is Adelaide Miller, Mary's sister.

It has been suggested that Frank may be Francis Thomas Albert Glass born 1915. He appears to have connections to India, so that fits. I'm 1940 he appears to marry Mary Ann Roache in Liverpool.

I have not been able to find out what happened to Mary Ann Pickering, so I was wondering if Mary Ann Pickering and Roache could be the same person, but I can find no evidence to prove or disprove this. Can anyone help?

That Ancestry tree appears to show the son's birth was registered under a different surname 1940 Q4 Hackney but with Pickering as the MMN.
