Hi ErikaH. He did marry in Ireland. He was in the Army there and met and married an Irish girl. I have their marriage details but it only gives his father's name and occupation. |

Hi Maddie. I have this 1891 census thanks. I also have him in India in 1881 and as a soldier in 1871, but before that I can't find him. |

Hi. Could anyone help please. My great grandfather was born in the Westminster district of London. I cannot find a birth for him as there are a few George Clements born 1846. I have got his army records and noticed he was born in St. Martins in the Field parish, Westminster. Does anyone have access to the church records . He was born as George William Clements in 1846. His father was also called George William and was a shopkeeper at the time. When I have looked at the census for 1851 and 1861 there are a few George Clements in the London area but none living in the Westminster area so do not know whether they are the right ones. I have him on the 1891 census and he says place of birth was Westminster. Thank you for any help. |
