Please can any one help
Trying to find the correct father of John William Glasier
John William was born 19th Mar 1883 at Nettleham Lincoln his parents were Charlotte Chambers and John Glasier born 1853

Today I received the birth certs for John Glasier born 1853 Lincolnshire

Cert 1
10th July 1853 Barlings father John Glasier a labourer mother Mary Glasier nee Codd the birth was registered by John Glasier father

Cert 2
28th Jan 1853 Stainton no fathers name mother Mary Glasier she registered the birth

I have searched the GRO sites for a marriage for a John Glasier and Mary Codd but I haven't found any

I don't know what to do next to find out which John Glasier

Glasier is sometime spelt Glasior / Glazier /Glazior

It looks like Mary Glasier didn't marry until 1867

Thanks for the info Rambling I was thinking that but it's the Mary Codd on the first cert I haven't found any marriage for Glasier / Codd

incidentally Joseph tear's first marriage was also to Chambers,

If the John who married Charlotte is the father of John William and he is the one who was born in Stainton on the census then he also appears to be the one who's birth cert shows no father, just a mother - Mary.

Also, as no father's name is shown on his marriage cert to Charlotte, then I don't understand why we are concerned about the mother's name of Mary Codd on the cert for a different John ??

Thank you for your help so I will go with the Stainton cert 28th Jan 1853 no fathers name but his mother is Mary Glasier
