Yes Veronica is still alive, the family say there is a connection with Charles O'Mahony living in the red house in Esher, he was there in 1939 and there is a family connection with this house. Charles O'Mahony's parents were James O'Mahony B 1851 Kerry and Bridget born 1851, Kildare. |

The owner of the tree looks to be the daughter of Veronica's sister,it looks very well researched. |

As I said much earlier my Veronica A Griffin was born in Surrey not Watford. I am researching for old friend Charles Dimmock, Veronica's son. I know he has just put his tree on Ancestry and may of added details of our first find of Barbara ( his grandmother). I will ask Charles to fill in any blanks by joining this thread as he has now joined Genes reunited and I am relaying info 2nd hand. |

Found new factual info for Barbara Hall if anyone can help. A copy of a letter dated 1932 to Mr O'Mahony asking for help in proving that Barbara Hall alias Vera Lowe was a O'Mahony. At that time she was living with who she believed to be her grandmother Frances Lowe nee O'Mahony and her grandmother's husband Thomas Lowe in Sutton Coldfield and was called Vera Lowe. I have found her living with them in 1921. The letter mentions Barbara being taken by Mrs Sinclair to live the Forbes when she was 2 and then Mrs Sinclair came and took her to Carr's home, Northbrook Road, Dublin and then to Mrs Irwin in Dublin. Mrs Irwin had then moved to America. It's all so fascinating and everything Barbara told her family now appears to be true. I don't know where to start?? |

Posting 1921 so we know exactly what it says - not that any of its info would have been verified at the time |

If Barbara/Vera was supposedly Frances's granddaughter, Frances must have had at least one child before she married Thomas Lowe. |

Frances O.Mahony married Thomas Lowe in 1903 in Halifax. Her husband Thomas Lowe is a gardener which fits with Barbara's story the the grandmother ran off with the gardener. That's when her children disowned her. Barbara spoke about a uncle Charles kingston O'Mahony and she knew where he lived in Esher. Frances O'Mahony later Lowe had several children with her first husband Thomas O'Mahony a land agent from Mitchelstown Cork. One of which I believe was Charles Kingston O'Mahony. But have no proof as there is no registered birth. Barbara always said her mother was Mary O'Mahony, Frances had a daughter Evelyn Mary O'Mahony born after Charles Kingston O'Mahony. Can't get my head around this, if anyone wants to see the docs that have just been discovered please let me know. Thank you |

Discounted the Lucan O'Mahony family as now have Barbara living with grandmother Frances with Barbara's story of her grandmother marrying the gardener and them both dying while she was living with them. This letter dated 1932 to Mr O'Mahony is asking for help as Barbara was left to pay for funeral and the insurance wouldn't pay out because she couldn't prove her identity. It's a very sad story, which just days ago I believed she had made up?? |

There is also some documents found with the pleading letter to Mr O'Mahony. Madame Lowe performing as solo pianist in 1903, along lots of other bits of info. These new doc's are personal to my friend Charles ( Barbara's grandson). If anyone thinks they might be able to help by seeing them, I can send in private message. |
