Louth is quite some distance from Scott Willoughby and North Rauceby, so I don't think it ties in. |

No burial for Elizabeth Perkins nee Silson at Rauceby and unfortunately looks like theOsbournby Burials Reg for 1813 onwards hasn't been scanned, or might even still be held in the parish. |

Maylon, I think you may have hit on something. Despite the fact that Richard Perkins is shown as single on his marriage to Mary Bush, there is a marriage of Richard Perkins and Elizabeth Silson at Rauceby in 1815. I'm about to search for a death for Elizabeth. |

Yes, that thought had crossed my mind, but the Rauceby PRs don't show any illegitimate Bush baptisms. |

Unlikely to have been registered in view of her illegitimacy. |

I'm hoping someone out there will be able to help solve the mystery of Mary Ann Perkins, and her mother Ann. She is listed on the1851 census as the grandaughter of Mary Perkins widow, and in the household of Mary and her husband Richard in 1841. In both cases the place of residence is North Rauceby, Lincolnshire. I have traced her baptism in the PR's for North & South Rauceby on 13th May 1838 where she is described as the illegitimate daughter of Ann Perkins. Richard Perkins married Mary Bush at Rauceby in 1820, the marriage register gives both as single. They have children born and baptised in Rauceby, but no daughter Ann. The only daughter I can trace is Elizabeth, baptised at Rauceby in 1825. I am struggling to trace Ann and to trace Mary Ann beyond the 1851 census (her grandmother Mary died in 1854). I have come up blank on a birth registration for Mary Ann. |
