We should point out that the vast majority of records from 1922, including WW2, are still with the MOD. It is possible to purchase a copy at a cost of £30. You'd certainly need a copy of his death certificate & know which branch he served in. |

Once again I thank all you researchers for the information you have given and I will pass this on to my friend for him to look deeper in to the past and maybe purchase that wedding certificate we talked of earlier. |

I think it is essential to buy the certificate. There will always be a doubt that this is the correct Thomas if you don't. |
