A tree on Ancestry says that his father John Richard Thompson was born abt. 1916 but doesn't say where. It says his mother Irene Jewel Silvey was born 4 Feb. 1915, Oklahoma.

According to his obituary on https://legacy.newsok.com that John Rinard Thompson (posted by Maddie) had a son John R Thompson- so doesn't look to be Jon Michael's father
