Whats puzzling is he is supposed to have had a sister Mary -which I found the correct marriage for in 1940 - but I cant find a birth for her that matches any of the Mothers maiden names/marriages for Georges parents! Im wondering whether Georges Mum dies-and Mr Pearce remarried. - I will keep looking but at least it looks like we have his death and birth. I may try our church later for baptisms! Thanks xxxxx

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,667 Send Message	You can check other births for yourself on freebmd, but this is a possibility for Mary https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl Surname First name(s) Mother District Vol Page Births Sep 1916 (>99%) Pearce Nancy B M Wannell St.Thomas 5b 57 There are other births - only in the St Thomas area - 1904 -1930 for Pearce/Wannell combinations - at least one of them can't be for George's parents Two possible marriages same area both 1904

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 3,141 Send Message	I'm trying to help a person who posted on a local page looking for help - and got a little way but need some asssiatnce if anyone doesnt mind as my library is only open on the days I'm working this week :-( Trying to find the death (and subsequently the birth) of a George Pearce who died in 1987. (Estimated born around 1920). Was born in Exeter area of Devon, and died I believe in Northamptonshire. I know he was in world war II. He had a sister Mary.
