Hi all. While searching my Swedish ancestors a hint has come up for a Swedish record. As i've not got worldwide membership, I'm unable to look at it. Is there anyone who would be willing to look it up for me. The details are: Sweden, Select Baptisms, 1611-1920 Birth, Marriage & Death, including Parish Name Olena Christiansdr Spouse and. Chr. Andersson
Many thanks Jackie

Thank you Margaret. Will try and follow up on those names. I have Charles Anderson's naturalisation certificate and he lists his parents as Christian and Olena Anderson-I'm guessing that's why Ancestry gave me this hint. I shall try and find out if he had a sister called Caroline. Many thanks Jackie

Could this be the one you want
Sweden, Select Baptisms, 1611-1920 No Image Text-only collection
Name: Olena Christiansdr Gender: Female Spouse: Anders Christian Andersson Child: Carolina Anders Christiansdotter
As no date is given, I have no idea if this record is related, but Ancestry has a suggested Records entry for Olena Christiandtr, dated 1862, with image -
Via me and google translate
Extract from 1862 death book for Bro -------( this is probably the equivalent of our village, town, RD etc
This from a column headed something along the lines of -
Kin, Baptismal name, office, profession, standing, residence, nationality and religious beliefs, minor, parents names occupation and residence -
Caroline ---------- Anders Christ Andersson and --------Olena Christiandtr
This from column for age at death, month, day
Age 2 14 July
Cause of death - unreadable I'm afraid to make any sense of it for google translate !!
I'll try and send the document to you via PM

Thank you so much Maddie. This looks like it is the right family. I have the name of Charles Severin Anderson, who says he was born on 28th August 1855, on his naturalisation certificate...... It looks like he was born CARL Severin Andersson, as you have posted above! (The birthdate is the same)... He was married 3 time in Cardiff, under the name Charles. I have yet to find his death though...... Once again, many thanks Jackie

Not his death, but this may be him. His wife was described as a widow in 1939.

Thanks alviegal. He's on the 1911 census and must have died sometime between then and 1939. I came across some seaman's records for a Charles Anderson, but I think they belong to another Charles Anderson who was also born in 1855 in Sweden. He lived in Sunderland / Liverpool though?? Jackie
EDIT: thank you alviegal....The medal record above is definitely him- The address matches one that I have for the family.. Will check out the other 2 when I can get on to Find My Past (I'm having trouble logging in atm) :-(
