Hi. I have a George Hubble born in Marylebone 16/6/1839 to a John Hubble and Jane Lucas. They married in 1839 but she was widow who's first married name was Maloney/Molony. On the cert it confirms his father's name as also John and her father as William, but I cannot confirm any further back than that. I have John and Jane in the 1841 census, John aged 30 and Jane (says Lacas on the index) aged 40, as servants in Hampstead which gives John's DOB roughly 1811. But there are lots of John Hubbles and I have no way of narrowing them down. I believe he did re marry a Mary Ester Booth in 1862 and died in 1869. Any suggestions of where I can look, how i can find more information would be gratefully received. Thank you so much for your help. |

Yes funny as on 1841 as unmarried, maybe it was not allowed for servants . Their child, George B1839 is living with others as George Lucas. I look at these thank you. |

Thank you so much for all your help. Its given me lots to work through. I had found a Andrews newspaper entry for John and Jane's marriage, the entry says John Hubble, Marylebone 1839. Then there is another entry underneath for 1837 for Tonbridge so not sure if that is another person? I have not seen Andrews entries before so not sure how they are set out. What do you think. Just wish I had hard facts! Thank you so much. |
