It looks like Elizabeth and son George emigrated about 3 months before William. |

Hello Sylvia, yes Elizabeth also had son George born 1841 (baptised 15 August 1841). I have him aged 9 on the 1851 census at Easington, Co Durham but can't find him after that. I was a bit confused by the death notice saying Mrs George Race. Looking at it properly I should have noticed the different address. Will try and find George. |

Hello Sylvia, I have his other brother James on a different thread altogether back in August. I was looking for the death of his wife Hannah and you actually found a bigamous marriage for both of them. Quite an interesting family!! |

Yes, that "mother of Mrs George Race" confused me as well. It was Mrs on the image, but I wonder if it was just the printer making a mistake?? |

I have James at home with his parents on the 1861 census at New Row, Haswell, Co Durham. George baptism is the 15 August 1841. |
