When did she part from her husband? Did they divorce?

The 1976 marriage is not relevant to your family

If the Winifred that married William Durrant was born 1900, then it looks as though her older brother, Owen, went to the US.

I'm struggling to see a death for Winifred's mother

Or she may have gone to live abroad.

If she stayed in the UK, it's a pity we don't know her exact DOB, as we could perhaps have found her death from forenames and DOB, as suggested by Shirley.

The only way to know that would be if you were to buy a copy of the 1900 birth cert, Tania.

So she was the lady born 1911 then so rules her out

So if Winifred left and took up with another man and there was no divorce she probably took on a different surname

There no more births with mmn Eatherley so seems she didn't have more children

She hasn't been picked up for the 1939 reg or at least she is a closed record

The 1976 marriage posted by Shirley is not for your Winifred. The Winifred that married Leslie Joyce was born in April 1911. (your Winifred must have been older as she married in 1919). This is confirmed on the 1939 register, where Winifred M Eatherley born 28 April 1911 has a later entry recording the surname Joyce.

Is there any way to track down the children that Winifred m durrant had. I looked into her second marriage to Leslie C Joyce, it checked out. I am in Canada, so not sure to find out how many children she had. Where would that be registered please? Thank you. Tania

I have no info on her bd, just when she married. I am truly thankful on what e Rey one has found out so far. This has always been on my bucket list to try and find someone from her family. To see if she went on to have more children. I promised my dad (who has passed) I would do my. Set to find out what I could. Tania :-0

She would have been 76 - which doesn't of course rule it out.

There are no marriages of an Eatherley to a Winifred, so the wife in that marriage must have been born Eatherley.

Whichever of the two Winifred Eatherleys the wife in that marriage was, I don't see her death.

Possiblly the death of the husband in that marriage ??

There are only 2 births for the name 1900 & one in 1911 West Ham reg district

If the 1939 register for William A Durrant is correct, then this is him at the same address in 1933- note the Winifred living there has middle name Elizabeth:

It would seem they parted after Joan was born and between 1939

If they never divorced then she may have taken on a new surname

Long shot but worth trying

Not seeing any possible birth mmn Eatherley after 1930 that would fit with being Winifred's child

I think that is more likely ErikaH.

It seems improbable that Winifred had an illegitimate child between two legitimate ones. Had it been during the War, it would have been less so

Could Winifred V have been the child of a sister - named for her aunt?

Dorothy Bernice died in 1927 in Lewes district

If that is the death of Winifred's mother's husband, then either Winifred's birth was a late registration or Edward wasn't her father.
