Harold was last known to be living in Leicester. My husband thinks when he was about 10 (1954) he remembers Harold visiting his parents house in Leicester. |

If the Charlesworth / Hallatt marriage is the correct one, there were two children. |

Thank you everyone for your information on Harold. I can confirm his parents were James Charlesworth and Annie Charlesworth (nee Kershaw). I mentioned Entwhiste Cheshire as possible birth (that's where his father James was born). James & Annie moved to Leicester. My husband remembers when he was very young seeing Harold wearing military uniform (red cap) & now recalls Royal Artillery is correct. My husband had no idea he was married - he rarely kept in touch with the family (referred to in those days as the black sheep of the family). I note in some comments his birthday is 21 April 1908 and 21 April 1909. Am I right in assuming Harold did not have any children? |

i am trying to find out what happened to my husband's uncle Harold Charlesworth. we know he was born c1909 possibly Entwhistle Cheshire. He was living in Leicester in the 1950's - and we understand he was in the Army? Cannot trace anything about him since. (His parents were James and Annie Charlesworth). His siblings were Leonard, James and Edith. |
