Forgot to answer your question. My Thomas Turnbull was born in Ingleton, Durham. I haven't been able to trace my Turnbull line back to Scotland but I know that there was a border clan named Turnbull.

The tree on Ancestry claims that Thomas Crimp and Lydia Coate were Elizabeth's parents.
However, I'm sure the 1851 census above, showing parents George and Ann, is the correct one.
Alice's sister Elizabeth born c1834, per 1851 census. DOB 4 October 1833 per her death record, so that would fit.
I don't see an Elizabeth Crimp with parents Thomas and Lydia in England 1841 or 1851.

No, there's no information that hasn't already been posted -
the father's a husbandman, they've come from England, and are going to New York.
A list of their belongings, which is hard to read, but I think it says:
Three boxes of clothes, a clock & gun, a brass milk bottle, tools in husbandry, beds and bedding, cooking utensils.

Trying to tie the Hornby families together The passenger list at the top where another Hornby family is mentioned …..Hornby 26 ,Ann 28 , Eliza 3, & Mary Ann 2 Does it say an address where they have come from or what their job is , trying to find the births of the children have a date for Mary Ann if it is her on the grave birth is down as 11/11/1829
I've traced the tree on ancestry they have Mary Ann married to John Trueman which does match with the info above
Not as yet matched them up to the Hornby's I have in my tree but I haven't done all the male Hornby's the certificates that early don't give too much info

Thank You so much
I'll have a look at that tree on ancestry My Hornby's come from Yorkshire and some were farmers. They had large families and married more than once so it's a bit difficult sorting them out earlier than the 1841 census, I rely on the net and try to make sure things are right.
It's like Elizabeth and Alice Crimp Both married to John Hornby above they could be sisters but they seem to have different parents according to their grave stones But I think the info that goes with the grave stones is what people had added from their tree but it needs looking into

The other father's first name is something very short, or an abbreviation. It looks as if it could be Wm - but that's unlikely if the two Hornby husbands were brothers. However, Wm is the only first name abbreviation used in the document. They might not be brothers, but some other relation.
There's this woman (thinking about the wife Ann, born c1803);
Ann Hornby in the Ontario, Canada, Deaths and Deaths Overseas, 1869-1946 Name: Ann Hornby (widow) Gender: Female Age: 85 Religion: Methodist Birth Date: abt 1804 Birth Place: England Death Date: 19 Feb 1889 Death Place: Peel, Ontario, Canada Cause of Death: Tucompency [ Incompetency a year or two ]
This is her in 1881:
Ann Hornby in the 1881 Census of Canada Name: Ann Hornby Gender: Female Marital Status: Widowed Age: 77 Birth Year: 1804 Birthplace: England Religion: Wesleyan Methodist Nationality: English Province: Ontario District Number: 140 District: Peel Sub-District Number: A Subdistrict: Toronto Division: 5 Household Members: Name Age Ann Hornby 77 Minnie H. Wilson 21
Ann Hornby in the 1871 Census of Canada Name: Ann Hornby Gender: Female Age: 66 Birth Year: abt 1805 Birth Place: England Marital Status: Widowed Religion: Weslyan Methodist Origin: English Province: Ontario District: Peel District Number: 39 Division: 05 Subdistrict: Toronto Subdistrict Number: a Neighbors: Household Members: Name Age Ann Hornby 66 Minnie Truemen 11
Minnie might be short for Mary Ann.
William Hornby in the 1851 Census of Canada East, Canada West, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia Name: William Hornby Gender: Male Age: 46 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1806 Birthplace: England Province: Canada West (Ontario) District: Peel County District Number: 28 Sub-District: Toronto Sub-District Number: 271 Household Members: Name Age William Hornby 46 - farmer, Quaker
Also listed with him, but not transcribed on Ancestry, are: Ann Hornby, 48, born England, Wesleyan Methodist; Mary A Hornby, 23, England, Wesleyan Methodist.
Also, a couple of lines further on - not sure if same household or not), a John Truman, carpenter & joiner, 25, England, Wesleyan Methodist.
A tree on Ancestry has a photo of the gravestone of John Trueman and his wife Mary Ann Hornby (Oct 11 1829 - Dec 10 1907) - also their daughter Eliza and son Fred.
The tree also lists a sister of Mary Ann - ( Annie 1823 England, death unknown )- but gives no proof of her existence. Apart from that, the tree is well researched, with lots of records as proof of most other events.
It says William died 1860 Ontario - no proof of that, but obviously Ann is a widow by 1861.
I wonder if this could be the family who went to NY in 1831 - if the child Eliza aged 3 died.
Just a long shot .

Re 1831 -
William Hornby and the father of the other Hornby family were both husbandmen, and both were going to New York. The passenger list is not in alphabetical order, so the fact that the two families are listed one after the other implies they were travelling together as one group.
But sorry - can't see them after that, so far.
